Nieve Xiao
Having volunteered in retirement homes for over 150 hours and reaching several accolades in both solo music as a pianist and as a clarinetist in school band, Nieve Xiao founded Sound of Life to bring two important aspects of her life together. She aspires to bring music's advantages to all generations.

Kate Huang
Kate is an experienced pianist and cellist, making the most out of her experience as a musician by giving back to the community. Having performed for various audiences in the past, Kate knows firsthand the importance and impact that music has on a person. She hopes that Sound of Life will benefit and improve the livelihoods of residents.

Jenna Su
Jenna Su is a Grade 12 student at Canterbury High School, where she is enrolled in the Specialized Music Diploma Program. With over 12 years of experience playing both the violin and piano, she has developed a deep understanding of the music community and its dynamics. Throughout her musical journey, Jenna has performed with the Ottawa Youth Orchestra Academy (OYOA), the Canterbury Ensemble, and the Canterbury Orchestra, enriching her skills and passion for collaborative performance. She hopes to help spread the love of music around Ottawa and share it with the community.

Graham King
Graham is a Grade 10 Percussionist at Canterbury who plays not only in his school's Int Concert and Jazz bands but also outside of school in the TTT Jazz Combo in coffee houses, at retirement homes, and in whatever other opportunities are found, usually under organizations like Sound Of Life or on their own. Graham has been playing for just under 8 years but most of his experience helping with, organizing, and playing in shows and performances have been in the last 2 years and is where he hopes to improve over the coming years.

Rafia Lynn
I’m Rafia! I am a student with a strong passion for supporting my community and helping others succeed. Through volunteering and school involvement, I enjoy contributing to positive and inclusive environments. Music is also an important part of my life—I love listening to it and discovering new artists and genres. I strive to bring kindness, leadership, and enthusiasm to everything I do while continuing to grow both academically and personally.

Nour Fars
Nour Fahs is a Lebanese Canadian who has always enjoyed the arts. Ever since she was younger, she has tried to participate in her community in any way that she could, and being a part of Sound of Life gives her a way to give back.

Frances Reid
Frances loves music and is happy to be able to share it with others through Sound of Life. She plays multiple instruments and has performed with a few different groups in the past. She hopes to inspire people through music and share it with more communities.

Jared Lo
Jared Lo is a Grade 10 student at Canterbury High School with a love for music and its ability to connect people of all ages. With many experiences performing for other people, Jared understands music's profound emotional abilities and strives to bring music to more people through Sound of Life.
